I served for 17 years in the Royal Air Force as a Puma helicopter Pilot and as an instructor and manager at the Initial Officer Training College. Operational tours in Kosovo, Northern Ireland and Iraq exposed me to arduous environments much of the time under extreme pressure.
My final seven years at the Royal Air Force College for Initial Officer Training presented a significant change for me, presenting me with a wide range of instructional positions including the delivery of training to students and staff, and the management of the organisation as the head of the Leadership Training Department.
I left the RAF to co-found PPWD, but since 2021 I have been running PPWD on my own taking the company into the premier league of Safety Differently training delivery.
Over the last 12 years I have developed and am now recognised as a thought-leader in Safety Culture within the UK Rail Industry and beyond.
